SecureState, a management consulting firm specializing in information security, plans to demonstrate exactly what could happen if hackers were to access a high profile C-suite executive or celebrity’s most valuable information, with the launch of their “Open Box Attack and Penetration (A&P)” service.

This offering was created to address rising concern about the ability of hackers to damage an organization’s operations and revenue by targeting network vulnerabilities.

Until recently, information security has been largely overlooked, but with recent attacks on prominent organizations and celebrities, the need has become highly publicized.

“People need to be aware of the potential impact that several new attack vectors can have on them, their business or their associates,” Ken Stasiak, CEO of SecureState said.

This type of assessment will let clients know just how easy, or difficult, it is to steal information that could bring their life or business to a grinding halt.

"When conducting an Open Box A&P, we will use any means necessary to gain access to a client's most sensitive information,” Tom Eston, Manager, Profiling & Penetration Team at SecureState said.  “My team will find a way to get in using attacks like phishing, network penetration and even going as far as physically breaking into a facility.”

This is truly a no holds barred test of security controls and defenses unlike any other penetration test offered.

Normally, when a business contracts a penetration test, the client knows what tools will be used, and when they will be attacked. In this scenario, SecureState truly simulates a real attack, because they won’t know when, where, or how they will be hacked.

“After the assessment, we will go over what we found with our clients, and then work with them to implement controls that will help minimize risk,” Stasiak said. “It’s no longer a matter of if you will be attacked; it’s a matter of when.”

SecureState provides premier consulting services for companies across the nation and internationally, including government and commercial sectors. The SecureState team is comprised of several specialties including: Advisory Services, Audit & Compliance, Profiling & Penetration, Privacy, Risk Management, and Incident Response.
