Security expert Avira has announced that China’s leading search engine, Baidu Inc. (Nasdaq: BIDU), has licensed Avira’s SAVAPI anti-malware SDK. In addition, Avira is bundling its own security software products with Baidu’s free PC Faster tune-up utility specifically for the Thailand market.

Baidu launched its security and optimization product Baidu PC Faster in the Thai market in July of 2012. Since then, the product has been downloaded over two million times and currently has over one million active Thai users.

Avira’s SAVAPI anti-malware SDK makes integrating Avira security technology simple and cost-effective. Baidu will use Avira’s award-winning scanning engine for its security and optimization products globally.
